Accessing Health Insurance

  • Assistance with Medicare Prescription Coverage

    Together RX Access
    Together RX Access is a prescription-savings card for eligible residents of the United States and Puerto Rico who have no prescription drug coverage.  It is a public service program created and sponsored by a group of some of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies.  To qualify for the Together RX Access Card, applicants must:

    * Not be eligible for Medicare
    * Have no prescription drug coverage (public or private)
    * Have household income equal to or less than:

    $30,000 for a single person
    $40,000 for a family of two
    $50,000 for a family of three
    $60,000 for a family of four
    $70,000 for a family of five

    Be a legal resident of the United States or Puerto Rico

Child Health Plus A
Child Health Plus A is a free health insurance program that offers children under the age of 19 complete coverage for all of their health care needs. While some people may think of Child Health Plus A as a program for very low-income families, many children in families where one or both parents work are eligible for Child Health Plus A.

Child Health Plus B
Child Health Plus B is New York State’s health insurance program for children under 19 who are not eligible for Child Health Plus A and do not have private health insurance. A child is eligible for Child Health Plus B if the family income is high or if they are in certain immigration categories.

Cops Care
The Cops Care Program alleviates drug cost for those in need. It is a new program offered by the Cops Care, the charitable arm of the New York State Correctional Officers Police Benevolence Association. There are no requirements for the card other than being uninsured. It offers a 50% discount on generic drugs and a 15% discount on name-brands.

EPIC (Elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Coverage)
EPIC is a New York State sponsored prescription plan for senior citizens who need help paying for their prescriptions. Over 340,000 seniors already belong and are saving, on average, over 80% of the cost of their medicines.

Healthy NY
The Healthy NY program is designed to assist small business owners in providing their employees and their employees’ families with the health insurance they need and deserve. In addition, uninsured sole proprietors and workers whose employers do not provide health insurance may also purchase comprehensive coverage directly through the Healthy NY program.

Family Health Plus
Family Health Plus is New York State’s health insurance program for adults, ages 19-64, who are not eligible for Medicaid and who either do not have employer based private health insurance or have employer based health insurance where the employee is responsible for 100% of the premium (the employer pays nothing towards the insurance).

Nonprofit Warehouse
Nonprofit Warehouse.com is dedicated to finding ways to meet the needs of those groups who accept the noble task of helping others. Their goal is to bring non-profit manufacturers and selected low cost suppliers together with non-profit organizations in a common place for the mutual benefit of the people they serve. Their newest program is the "Free Prescription Discount Card" which we will provide for FREE to any person who does not have a prescription drug benefit or coverage.

Facilitated Enrollment is a way to learn about health insurance choices for you and your child and provides an easier way to apply for Child and Family Health Plus and Medicaid.
