Increasing the Availability of Fruits and Vegetables

 

HCHN will establish, promote and increase the use of farmers’ markets in Herkimer County by implementing innovative strategies with the assistance of
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Herkimer County to increase access.

 

In addition, HCHN work with grocery and convenience stores to enhance the variety of fruits and vegetables offered, enhance visibility and increase
overall shelf space allocated to healthy foods in those stores.
