Screen Free Week Activities in Herkimer County

 

Herkimer, NY - Herkimer County HealthNet will join thousands of schools, libraries, and community groups nationwide in a coordinated effort to encourage millions of Americans to turn off televisions, computers, and video games for seven days and turn on the world around them. Screen-Free Week is a chance for children to read, play, think, create, be more physically active, and to spend more time with friends and family.

 

Some of the activities for the week of April 18-22 include:
• Buy 2 Games, Get 2 Games at the State Bowling Center in Ilion
• Open Gym at the YMCA in Mohawk everyday from 3:00-5:00PM

 

Any school personnel interested in having Screen Free Week events in their school during the week following Spring break should contact tlockwood@herkimercounty.org.
