Program Description: The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Herkimer County serves to recruit and place senior volunteers in assignments designed to address the critical needs in the community. There are over 55 stations throughout the county where volunteers may work.
Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday.
Eligibility Criteria: 55 years of age or older.
Referral Procedures: Seniors may call for an interview; walk-ins are welcomed. A registration form is completed by the volunteer and an orientation given by the Director. The interest of the volunteer is matched with the community need.
