Program Description: Direct services to youth and families through Juvenile Delinquency Prevention Services. The program provides services to include skill and self-esteem building, crisis intervention, family and parent education and case management. There is a focus on Aggression Reduction Group.
Hours: Mon, Wed, Fri 8:30-5:00 PM; Tue & Thurs. 8:30-9:00.
Eligibility Criteria: Target population is youth and families who reside in Herkimer County, who have been referred to Herkimer County Probation, Department of Juvenile Delinquency and PINS and are at risk of being petitioned to Family Court.
Referral Procedures: Herkimer County Probation Department's Juvenile Delinquency and PINS (Person in Need of Supervision) Program. Screened by Probation and determined to be at risk for being petitioned to Family Court, referrals come from Herkimer County Mental Health, provides designated assessment service, PINS Planning Committee, Education Liaison Committee, DSS Consolidated Service Plan, Sexual Abuse Task Force & Integrated Planning for Herkimer County.
Client Fees: No fees since the program is based on the approval of grant funding combined with public funds.
