Wheelchair Ramp Program

This program is a collaborative effort between Herkimer County HealthNet, Herkimer County Office for the Aging and the Resource Center for Independent Living. This project was developed to provide financial support and construction management for the installation of wheelchair ramps in the homes of residents who are unable to pay for them. Applicants to the program must meet income and resource guidelines and contribute toward the cost of construction. All ramps are in conformance to the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) construction specifications.
